Missing The Excitement?

Check yourself. Do the things of God excite you or do they bore you? Are you following spiritual leaders that excite you about the Lord? How can you NOT be excited about Him by yourself? How can it be boring to have a relationship with the Creator of the universe? How can it be boring to have the All-Powerful God directing you and working on your behalf? How can you NOT be excited by the Bible and its promises? How can the Living God NOT be the most exciting thing in your life? How can the miracle-working God NOT be the most exciting thing in your life? How can you NOT be excited by having Christ in your heart? How can the most exciting voyage ever experienced by men be boring to you?

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18: For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Philippians 3:20-21: For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

We are going to go soaring into the clouds. How is that not exciting? We are going to be with the Lord forever. How is that not exciting? He is going to change us from vile beings into glorious beings. How is that not exciting?

Every Christian*s heart should leap with joy when he hears or reads these things. If you are not excited about the Lord, there is something the matter with you or with your Lord. You need to look closer at Him. He wants you to be excited about Him and He is worth being excited about. There is nothing about Him that is NOT exciting.

Revelation 3:16: So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
